Six EU nations willing to take in migrants: Italian PM

MILLAN (ITALY) Italy’s Prime Minister has said that six European Union’s nations are ready to take in some of the 147 migrants stranded on a boat off Lampedusa.

The Italian PM Giuseppe Conte statement comes after a court ruling.

The Italian prime minister has also accused Interior Minister Matteo Salvini of being obsessed with blocking immigration.

The boat has been barred from docking but several people were brought to shore by the Italian coastguard for urgent medical attention.

The court ruling said emergency support must be provided to the migrants on board the vessel.
