ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is reportedly considering to shuffle his cabinet and reports are coming in that in the event some key members of the federal cabinet will lose their jobs.
Sources told The News Tribe that Prime Minister is seriously considering to remove some members of his cabinet. They said that the second round of cabinet reshuffle is on the cared and some ministers and advisors might lose their jobs.
They claimed that the Prime Minister was not satisfied with the performance of a few cabinet members. They said that besides performance some other considerations have also forced the expected reshuffle of the cabinet.
There are rumours that Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood and Federal Minister for Communication Murad Saeed might be axed from the cabinet.
Sources said that Prime Minister may change the portfolios of some existing members of the federal cabinet, besides induction of new faces.
Last month, Prime Minister shuffled his cabinet with the removal of Asad Umar as Finance Minister. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh replaced Umar while then Federal Minister for Health Amir Kiyani was sacked. Then Federal Minister for Petroleum Sarwar Khan and Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry’s portfolios were changed.
