KHANPUR: Several bogies of the Karakoram Express train derailed on Sunday night near Khanpur city.
According to Pakistan Railways officials, the engine and several bogies of Karakoram Express derailed Sunday night, however, there were no casualties in the incident.
According to sources, the driver stopped the train in time, avoiding a major railway crash that could have led to fatalities.
The sources said that at the time of the accident the rain’s speed was slow, therefore no casualty was caused.
The train was going to Lahore from Karachi to Lahore. A few hours later, the train resumed its onward journey.
