PESHAWAR: A bomb planted in a car parked at Kali Bari market in Saddar exploded on Saturday morning, injuring three people.
The blast injured three people, including a woman.
Initial reports said the explosive material was planted in a car, which was parked near a mosque in the Saddar area.
Police said that the car was completely destroyed in the explosion.
The blast also damaged nearby shops. Police said that though the area remained overcrowded by people to have breakfast, most of the shops were closed when the blast occurred.
Soon after the blast, Police and other law enforcement agencies personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
Rescue officials shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
CCP Peshawar Qazi Jameel said that some eight to 10-kilogramme explosive materials was used in the blast. He said that the investigators are trying to obtain the footages of nearby CCTV cameras.
