BEJING: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Tuesday and discussed with him issues of mutual interests and regional situation.
The foreign minister, who reached Beijing on Tuesday morning on the third leg of his four-nation tour, held discussions with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
During the meeting between the two foreign ministers, bilateral and regional issues, especially peace in Afghanistan were discussed.
Earlier, the Minister visited Afghanistan and Iran as part of his four-day trip to the regional countries.

The foreign minister’s tour to Afghanistan, Iran, China and Russia is aimed at taking regional countries on board about Pakistan’s fresh push to jumpstart the Afghan reconciliation process.
Upon reaching Beijing, Qureshi was received by Chinese Foreign Ministry officials.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, promotion of regional connectivity and other important issues.
Delegation-level talks were also held between both sides.
