Nawaz Sharif Being Shifted to Lahore from Adiyala Jail

RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who was arrested from the courtroom after an Accountability Court convicted him yesterday, is being shifted to Lahore from Adiyala Jail in Rawalpindi.

The former Prime Minister has left Adiyala Jail to Islamabad International Airport from where he will be flown to Lahore. The convicted PML-N leader will be shifted to Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail.

The former PM following his conviction in the Al-Azizia reference had pleaded the accountability court judge to order his shifting to Lahore instead of Adiyala Jail in Rawalpindi.
