When is first Ramadan in Pakistan? Date announced!

ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet tomorrow after the Maghrib prayers for sighting the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan 2017.

The Met officials have told that there is a ‘slight chance’ of the crescent of the moon on Friday at 1438 AH on 29th of Shaban.

The Met office’s press release revealed that the birth of moon will take place on crossing conjunction point at 00-45 PST on 26-05-17.

It is pertinent to mention here that Ramadan 2017 moon was not sighted today in Saudi Arabia and UAE, which means that the first Ramadan in Gulf countries would fall on Saturday, May 27.

The climate accord reported that the weather is expected fair/ partly cloudy in the several parts of the country.

The crescent of Ramadan and Eid is a matter of dispute in many regions of Pakistan, the people from a long time celebrates two Eid in the country.

The government of Pakistan has taken serious action to curb the situation.

In 2016 the moon sighting took place in Pakistan without any opposition, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that the Eid will be celebrated on the same day all around the country.

The crescent committee once again hoped that it will be successful in holding the month of Ramadan and celebrations of Eid on the same day.

Management in the holy month is a matter of concern for authorities since long; recently the Sindh High Court has ordered officials to keep check and balance on the prices of households.

Many small Bachat Bazaars has placed by the authorities to maintain a supply of fresh and healthy food in the month.
