Breaking: Mustafa Kamal arrested as police cracks down on PSP’s march

KARACHI – Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Mustafa Kamal has been arrested as the Sindh police began to crack down on the million march of PSP for the rights of the people of Karachi.

The crackdown began after a deadlock in the talks with PPP government.

Media also reported the police was trying to arrest of Raza Haroon and Dr Sagheer however, they were resisting

Reportedly, police have baton-charged the PSP supporters who participated in a march called by party chief Mustafa Kamal in bid to have the government meet their demands, Dunya News reported.

The police action began after the deadlock in talks between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and PPP. The parties could not agree on six demands, according to the sources.

On Saturday, PSP chief had said that he expects one million people to march towards the “palace of the Sindh chief minister” for their rights. He presented 16 demands to resolve problems faced by citizens of Karachi.

The rally, he had announced, would move from the FTC building on Shahrah-e-Faisal to protest against the ‘poor governance’ of the PPP government in Sindh.
