ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will start receiving Hajj applications under the Government Scheme from Monday.
According to details, applicants can submit their forms with banks until 26th of this month and the draw will be held on 28th the same month.
Applications can be submitted with the branches of Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, and National Bank of Pakistan, Muslim Commercial Bank, Allied Banks Limited, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Meezan Bank, and Habib Metro Bank.
Successful applicants will be informed through letters and SMS. Results of the balloting for successful candidates will also be available at www.mora.gov.pk and www.hajjinfo.org.
Hajj 2017 Applications Date:
Sardar Yousaf said that Hajj applications will be accepted from 17th to 26th of this month.
According to PakistanTribe’s correspondent from Islamabad, he revealed this during addressing a press briefing about the Hajj policy 2017 which is approved by the cabinet on Wednesday.
How Many Pakistanis will perform Hajj 2017?
The Minister said that a total of 107526 intending pilgrims will be selected under government Hajj scheme while 71684 will be selected through private hajj scheme.
Balloting for Hajj 2017
The minister said that balloting will be conducted on 28th of this month in Islamabad.
Banks for Hajj 2-17 Applications
He said the hajj applications will be received through branches often specific banks which include Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, National Bank Of Pakistan, MCB Bank Limited, Allied Bank Limited, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, Bank Alfalah, Meezan Bank, Bank of Punjab and Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited.
Hajj Package for North and South Region
He said that Hajj package 2017 for North region is 2,80,000 rupees and 2,70,000 rupees for South region.
He said that new model buses will be provided to the pilgrims for traveling from Jeddah to Makkah. Supervision of hajj operation will be strengthened and complains of the pilgrims will be addressed instantly.
The Minister said that an emergency plan is being prepared by the ministry to tackle any emergency situation.
Pakistan Hajj 2017 Arrangements
He said keeping in view number of the pilgrims, 540 personnel of hajj medical mission, 450 personnel of assistants pilgrims, 270 personnel of seasonal staff of the ministry and welfare staff comprised of Pakistani local assistants will be deployed as per requirement.

This year 107,526 Pakistanis will perform hajj officially, whereas, 71,684 people will undertake pilgrimage through private tour groups. The government and the private Hajj operators will facilitate 60/40 percent ratio of Pakistani pilgrims.
Hajj Application Eligibility Criteria
He said that every person will be able to perform hajj once within every seven years, adding that private applicants will be eligible for the holy journey after five years.
Muhammad Yousaf laid out that no person would be sent on the pilgrimage free-of-cost.
He also said that the people who had performed Hajj in the last seven years are not eligible to apply for the reserved government quota.
