European stock markets rise at open

LONDON: Europe’s main stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Monday, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.5 percent to 7,276.49 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 gained 0.5 percent to 11,858.14 points and the Paris CAC 40 added 0.4 percent to 4,864.13 compared with the close on Friday.
