MQM MPA in police custody

KARACHI: Kamran Farooq, the representative and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Member of Parliament (MPA), remanded by anti-terrorism court for two days.

The cases which have been files against Kamran Farooq are; possessing hand grenade, illegal weapons and stealing motorbikes.

The MPA told a local TV channel that he had been accused to have a hand in the massacre of May 12, 2007 in Karachi.

Other sources informed that Farooq had admitted to committing 40 target killings, that includes member of defunct People’s Aman Committee and Sunni Tehreek. Further he revealed about extortion in the city and May 12, 2007.
