Bipin Rawat named the next Indian Army Chief

NEW DELHI: India government announced on Saturday, lieutenant General Bipin Rawat is going to be the next chief of army staff after Dalbir Singh Suhag.

While, Air Marshel Birender Singh Dhona will be the new chief of Air Staff replacing Arup Raha.

Lt General Rawat belongs to th Battalion of 11th Gorkha Rifles and currently he is the Vice Chief of Army Staff on Indian Army.

The current Army Chief and Chief of Air Staff are set to retire on 31 December, 2016.
