First Test: Pakistan lose 8 wickets for 67

BRISBANE: It has been a disastrous night for Pakistan, as they have lost 8 of their wickets for just 67 runs, in the first innings of the first Test at The Gabba, Brisbane.

Seven out of eight batsmen were caught in the slip cordon.

Pakistan Seasoned batsmen Younis Khan earned a duck, while skipper Misbah ul Haq returned to the pavilion with just four runs.

Asad Shafiq(2), Azhar Ali(5), Wahab Riaz(1) and Yasir(1) could not jointly cross the double figure.

Only Sami Aslam (22) and Babar Azam (19) showed little resistance.

Earlier, Australia posted a mighty total of 429 runs on the board. Skipper Steve Smith scored his 14th Test hundred before falling prey to quick Wahab on 130 individual score.

 His partner Handscomb also crossed the century mark today, his debut hundred and finally got out on 105.

Besides, Renshaw (71) and Warner (32), no other batsman could add a significant contribution to the Aussie total.
