Flight PK-661 First Officer body identified

ISLAMABAD: The body of Ali Akram, the First Officer of PIA’s flight PK-661 has been identified by his fingers. The plane crashed last week on Tuesday, December 6 in the mountainous area of Havelian.

PIMS Hospital in Islamabad requested the relatives of the tragedy victims for cooperation. On the other hand the foreign investigation team from the French aircraft manufacturer ATR, inspected the rubble of the plane.

PIMS Hospital administration has also requested the relatives of the unfortunate victims to provide them with the dental x-ray of the martyrs, if they have any. They also requested them with medical record history of the victims. The administrator at the hospital said that the DNA identification process is still in process to identify the victims.

So far, all the bodies have only been been identified with the help of physical evidence.

It is worth mentioning here that the ATR planes manufacturing company sent an 9-membered investigation team consisting 3 officers from Canada and 3 investigation officer from France. While 3 officers are of Pakistan who taking part in the investigation of the crash
