KARACHI: Government of Sindh on Friday noon has announced winter vacations for educational institutions across the province.
According to the notification issued by Sindh Education Department, all educational institutions including schools in Sindh will remain closed from December 22-31, 2016 for winter holidays, across the province.
The schedule will imply on both public and private educational institutions in the province.
The coming Monday will also be a public holiday in Sindh on account of Eid Miladun Nabi.
The Punjab, Balochisltan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments are yet to make any formal announcement in this regard.
There is no word from the federal government and Islamabad also about the closure of schools due to winter holidays.
It is noted here that thick fog also hit many cities of Punjab on Friday morning.
