It’s fake: Audio clip recorded before plane crash goes viral

ISLAMABAD: Right after the crash of PIA flight PK-661, Pakistan TV channels aired some audio recording claiming to be recorded of passengers of the mentioned flight before the accident while it lost control in the sky. However, the records have proven to be faked.

The clips are actually of Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi to Jakarta, Indonesia while the plane faced a severe instability during its flight in 2016 but later it reached safely to its destination.

Gharidah Farooq, a senior journalist confirmed the recording were not actually from the flight PK-661.

However, the black box of the flight PK-661 has been recovered and so far it has not been decoded yet.
