KARACHI: On Thursday evening news of Junaid Jamshed Janaza (funeral prayer) came to the surface, one of private Pakistani news channels also reported the event but it turns out a false story.
According to the sources closed to Junaid Jamshed Family, there is no schedule decided about the Janaza as body of known Islamic scholar yet to be identified through DNA process.
Meanwhile, Darul Uloom Karachi’s officials also denied Janaza prayer news and termed it false.
Earlier, there were reports on social media that the time and location for famous Islamic scholar Junaid Jamshed’s Janaza (funeral prayer) have been announced.
According to the reports quoting Darul Uloom Karachi, Junaid’s Janaza prayers will be performed at Darul Uloom, Korangi, Karachi, after Jumma prayer.
Chief cleric of Darul Uloom Karachi, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani will head his funeral prayer.
Jamshed, along with his wife Nahya Junaid, died in a plane crash on Tuesday, when he was on the way from Chitral to Islamabad.
