Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves drop by $250 million

KARACHI: The total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the country stood at $ 23.615 billion, said the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday.

According to SBP’s weekly statement here on Thursday, the foreign reserves held by the central bank on November 25, were $18,574.8 million and the net foreign reserves with commercial banks amounted $5,040 million.

During the week, the country’s total reserves decreased by $250 million to $23,614.8 million.

The decrease in reserves was on account of external debt servicing and other official payments. –APP
