Rabi ul Awwal moon 2016 sighted in Pakistan

LAHORE: Rabi ul Awwal moon 2016 has been sighted on Wednesday, 12 Rabi ul Awwal will be on December 12, 2016.

Mufti Muneeb announced the news tonight.

The Central Ruet e Hilal Committee (Moon-sighting committee) under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman are meeting tonight to sight Rabi ul Awwal 2016 moon.

The first Rabi-ul-Awwal will be on Thursday, December 1 while 12 Rabi ul Awwal, the birthday of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), will fall on December 12, Monday.

CHRC Chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman made the announcement after chairing a meeting of the moon sighting committee in the federal capital.

He said that 12 Rabi ul Awwal would be celebrated across Pakistan with religious passion and fervor on December 12, Monday.

 According to astronomical parameters, there was fair chance for the sighting new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1438 AH on the evening of 30-11-2016 i.e. on 29th of Safar, 1438 AH.

The climate record suggests that the weather is expected fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the country.
