Big News: Muhammad Hafeez clears bowling Test

DUBAI: Pakistan all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez is all set to resume his bowling in international cricket after getting clearance from the world cricket body.

Samaa quoted Hafeez saying that he was cleared to bowl again after undergoing bowling test in Australia earlier this month.

According to, the off-spinner underwent a reassessment on Nov 17 at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane which revealed that his elbow turned within the 15-degree level of tolerance allowed in ICC regulations for the review of bowlers reported with suspected illegal bowling actions.

However, according to the article, umpires will still remain at liberty to report his action if they suspect it to be illegal. The umpires will be provided photos and videos of Hafeez’s redeemed bowling action.

According to the ICC, Hafeez’s modified bowling action is well under the legal limit of fifteen degree.

Hafeez was banned from bowling in international cricket in July last year.

It is worth mentioning here that Hafeez was not considered when national chief selector Inzimam ul Haq announced squad for Australia series.
