Fair Chance for Rabi ul Awwal moon sighting tonight

LAHORE: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that there are fair chances for the sighting of Rabi ul Awwal moon on Tuesday night.

According to PMD, the new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1438 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 17-18 PST on 29-11-2016.

The Ruet e Hilal Committee (Moon-sighting committee) under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman are meeting tonight to watch Rabi ul Awwal 2016 moon.

Astronomical parameters of new moon and average cloud amounts at Pilot Balloon Observatories of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) are attached herewith.

 According to astronomical parameters, there is Fair Chance for the sighting new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1438 AH on the evening of 30-11-2016 i.e. on 29th of Safar, 1438 AH.
