Pakistan Test squad announced for Australia series

LAHORE: Chief selector Inzimam ul Haq on Monday announced Pakistan Test squad for Australia series, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Misbah ul Haq will lead the team, while Azhar Ali would be his depute.

The team has been finalised by chief selector Inzamam ul Haq and the National Selection Committee after consultations with the team’s Head Coach and the Test captain Misbah ul Haq, the PCB said in a statement.

The Pakistan team will play three Test matches on the tour.

The first of these will be played from Dec 15-19 at Brisbane Cricket Ground. This would be Day/Night encounter.

The second Test will be played from Dec 26-30 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, and the third Test will be played from Jan 3-7, 2017, at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Pakistan team is currently playing a two-match Test series against New Zealand.

New Zealand won first Test by 8 wickets, while they also have a strong position in the second Test.
