Imran writes letter to Ban Ki-moon, protests Indian aggression

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday wrote a letter to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and called for his action against the Indian aggression in Pakistan and Indian-held Kashmir.

“As leader of the second largest political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, I wish to draw your attention to the ongoing Indian aggression against Pakistan along the Line of Control and Working Boundary as well as the use of violence and lethal weapons against unarmed civilians in Indian-occupied Kashmir. The inaction of the United Nations in the face of a massive abuse of the human rights of Kashmiris is a serious threat to regional peace and security,” Khan wrote.

Khan urged the UN chief to use his office to stop the Indian attacks along the line of control and convene an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to act against the increasing threats to regional peace and security presented by India’s military aggression.
