FETO administration of Pak-Turk schools, Pak Senate Committee unaware of facts

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Senate Committee on Interior took notice of Fethullah Gulen’s led FETO initiated Pak-Turk school’s ‘closure’ and suggested government to ‘take control of schools instead of giving it to any private institution,’ TheNewsTribe.com reported.

“Chair of Committee Rehman Malik seems unaware about facts as he took notice of ‘schools closure’ while in reality it is only change of administration,” added TheNewsTribe’s correspondent from Islamabad.

During a meeting held here in Islamabad on Tuesday, Rehman Malik, Chairman Senate Committee on Interior has said government should take Pak-Turk schools control instead of giving it to any private institution.

The Committee also directed concern authorities to submit report in next meeting.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan govt already clarified the situation while announced that Pak-Turk Schools will be handed over to Maarif foundation as per Turkish government request.

State Minister of Interior Baleegh ur Rehman while talking to media said there will be no closure of Pak-Turk Schools.

In new arrangement, Maarif foundation “A semi-Govt Turkish INGO has been registered with Ministry of Interior will take control of the schools. First batch of Turk teachers have arrived in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, President Erdogan has ordered Ministry of Education in Turkey not to waste even one minute of the students of Turkish schools in Pakistan.

Turkey has announced to expend the schools countrywide in Pakistan with new branches and increasing scholarships in favour of depriving by multi-folds.

After the failed military coup in Turkey few months ago which killed dozens, Ankara declared FETO a terrorist organisation and requested Pakistan to send back Pak-Turk schools Turk teachers as they are members of FETO.

Pak-Turk schools is a network of 28 schools and colleges in Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi, Hyderabad, Khairpur and Jamshoro employs 1,500 staff who teach around 10,000 students from pre-school to A levels.
