Breaking: Pak Army shoots down Indian drone

LAHORE: Pakistan Army on Saturday shot down an Indian drone entering Pakistan territory on Saturday evening, reported.

According to Intern-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the drone had intruded 60 meters inside Pakistan borders, and thus was shot down by Pakistan Army surveillance unit.

The drone destroyed at the LOC,  was being used by Indian forces for surveillance near Agahi Post at our side of Line of Control.

“Indian Quad Copter shot down by own Aagahi Post in Rakhchakri Sec.Had intruded 60 Ms in Pak side of LOC,fell near own Agahi Post&taken over.”

Radio Pakistan also confirmed the development while quoting Pakistan Army that Indian Quad Copter was taken down on Saturday evening near Rakhchari Sector.

It is worth mentioning here that India had conducted its first successful flight test of the endogenously developed Rustom-II medium-altitude,  long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (MALE UAV) just three days ago.

Earlier in the day, four children were killed and three others injured by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LOC) in Azad Kashmir.

“Two girls and their brother died when mortar shells fired by Indian troops hit their house in Kotli district along the Line of Control (LOC),” Raja Arif Mehmodd, a local administration official, told AFP. A fourth child succumbed to his wounds later.

He said the eldest girl was aged 10 and the youngest girl aged five.

“All belonged to the same family,” he added.
