Electricity Loadshedding to be reduced half across country

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday ordered to reduce the electricity loadshedding by 50 percent across the country.

The order will come into action by tomorrow (Tuesday).

The PM announced the order during a meeting on the electricity situation in Islamabad.

The decision came in wake of recent political scenario, in which Nawaz Sharif and his family are facing serious allegations of money laundering and corruption in Panama Leaks in Supreme Court.

Experts have termed this order as a move to gain public sympathy in case, SC orders PM to be leave the chair.

The premier issued directives to the secretary Water & Power to effectively implement the decision initially on trial basis.

Halving the loadshedding could culminate into three hours power outages in urban areas while rural areas will have it for four hours.
