LAHORE: The schedule for second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 2 schedule) 2017 has been announced on Wednesday.As per announced schedule, opening ceremony of the premier league and the first match between Peshawar Zalmi and defending champions Islamabad United will be played on February 9, at Dubai.
Matches will be played in Dubai and Sharjah, while final of the game will be played at Qadafi Stadium, Lahore on March 17, 2017.
Once again, no single match has been given to Abu Dhabi.
The format of the league is quite similar to the other cricket leagues in the world – a group stage followed by the playoffs where the top four sides play to reach the final and eventually be crowned as the champions.
The tournament already boasts of big international names such as Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Shane Watson, Dwayne Smith, Brendon McCullum and many more.
Some of these players were retained by their respective teams, others were brought in during the auction while there were a few who joined in afresh.
