KARACHI: At least five lost lives and many other injured as some unknown assailants opened fire on a religious gathering in Nazimabad are of Karachi, Saturday evening, Thenewstribe.com reported.
According to initial details, some unknown attackers on bikes opened fires on a Majlis gathering in Nazimabad No 4 area of Karachi.
At least five people have been reportedly killed in this sad incident.
Injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals, and the police has cordoned off the area.
As per Dunya News report, have stated that the five deceased included four brothers. Police have reported that two terrorists rode motorcycle to the attack site and opened fire.
Bodies have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and ordered Inspector General of Police (IGP) to submit a report.
However, according to the police, the participants had not informed the department of a gathering in the area which was why there were no security arrangements.
