ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Saeed Ghani has said that former Federal Minister Dr. Asim Hussain is being punished for being the physician of former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
In a statement Senator Ghani said that Dr. Asim Hussain is being tortured and his health is continuously falling, reported Samaa.
On one hand Dr. Asim Hussain is wrongly accused of treating terrorists in his hospital and imprisoned and on the other Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan has admitted that Taliban were treated in his hospital but is free.
This double standard displays the victimization of Dr. Asim Hussain. He is kept in solitary confinement and tortured physically and mentally. National Accountability Bureau is running a vilification campaign against him.
Senator Ghani said that government helped Dictator General Musharraf to flee the country despite the fact that he violated constitution.
He expressed concerns over falling health of Dr. Asim Hussain and his wife who is also in a critical condition due to the mental torture she is going through due to maltreatment of her husband.
