RAWALPINDI: As many as two workers of Awami Muslim League (AML) were arrested in a police crackdown on Lal Haveli Thursday night, Theneewstribe.com learnt from local media.
According to initial reports, over 40 police mobiles and cars have surrounded AML leader Shaikh Rasheed’s residence in Rawalpindi, Lal Haveli.
AML workers got furious when police arrested a worker outside Lal Haveli. The workers raised slogans against the government and termed these arrests as government’s ‘dictatorial tactics’.
In an exclusive talk with renowned journalist Kamran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed said that forty police cars were outside Lal Haveli.
He said that the public meeting was going to be held under any condition at Lal Haveli on Friday.
When asked what his strategy would be if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan wasn’t allowed to reach Lal Haveli, Rasheed said that some alternative would be looked for but public meeting will be held anyway.
