PTI’s #IslamabadLockdown: Section 144 imposed in capital

ISLAMABAD: The administration of Pakistan capital city, Islamabad on Thursday imposed section 144 in the federal capital for 60 days, thenewstribe.io reported.

According to a notification issued by the office of the district magistrate, the section has been imposed based on the reports that certain segments of the public are planning to take out processions to stage demonstrations in the Islamabad Capital Territory.

Section 144 prohibits all kind of gatherings of five or more persons, processions, rallies and demonstrations.

The decision has been taken just a few days before Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) lockdown plan.
