Bilawal Bhutto blasts Khuwaja Asif for shameful tweet

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday blasted Defence Minister Khawaja  Asif Ahmed for comparing terrorist attacks with Imran Khan’s political protests.

Khawaja Asif took to the micro-blogging website Twitter and compared the assault with PTI’s plan to hold a protest in Islamabad on November 2.

“India attacks LOC & working boundary. Quetta &Peshawar attacked frm Afghanistan. IK preparing to attack Islamabad ..Accidental coordination?,” he tweeted, which drew sharp condemnations from netizens.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari denounced the defence minister’s remarks, saying it was shameful to play politics now.

“Delete your tweet. Delete your account. Delete your ministry. Delete you government. Shameful to play politics now! Ignore clowns.Do ur job!,” Bilawal tweeted.

Senior PTI leader Shireen Mazari also termed the tweet ‘irresponsible’ as it equated Pakistan’s enemies with a political party’s protest for accountability.
