KARACHI: Anchor person with K-21 television channel has retracted her legal claim on Saturday against a security guard of Frontier Corps (FC) to a like action by the accused after a violent confrontation in premises of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) a day earlier, Dunya News reported.
A security guard had slapped Saima Kanwal, a woman reporter on Friday as she went live while covering issues faced by the locals at Nadra office.
The guard avoided the camera and moved away prompting the reporter to follow him. In the moment, the guard slapped her as she held his uniform in attempt to keep him from exiting.
In an exclusive talk with Kamran Khan in programme, ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’, she said that she was checking her uniform as now a days law enforcers arrest several fake uniformed officers.
The FC guard had lodged a case against the journalist in Gulbahar Police Station the same day following which Kanwal approached a police station as well.
The development has come in after Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had ordered an inquiry into the incident.
