Second Test: Pakistan 304/4 at Day 1 stumps

ABU DHABI: After couple of early blows in the first our of the day, Pakistan middle order retaliated West Indies as the post 304/4 at the stumps of Day 1 of second Test at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

After losing, openin pair Azhar Ali (0) and Sami Aslam (6) in the first hour of the game, One-down batsman Asad Shafiq and master batsman Younis Khan did the recovery job.

 Asad (68) chopped one into the stumps from Gabriel to leave the crease on 129. Misbah partnered with Younis Khan to take Pakistan’s score to 205/3 till the end of second session.

 Younis then went on to complete his 33rd Test hundred and became the only batsman in Test history to not being dismissed in 90s for last 16 years.

Once Misbah completed his fifty, the pair started to take on West Indian bowlers and paced up the scoring rate.

The day was called when Younis Khan was caught at mid-wicket in 84th over of the day, trying to slog sweep Bishu’s straighter one.

Younis fell on 127 in 205 balls with ten fours and  only six. Misbah was still there on 90. Pakistan were 304/4 at stumps.
