Yasir second quickest to take hundred Test wickets

DUBAI: Pakistan magical legspinner Yasir Shah has completed his another five-wicket haul in the Test cricket to become the second fastest in history to complete hundred Test wickets.

It’s only 17th Test for Shah and he has achieved this historic feat.

Yasir stepped into this landmark Day/Night Test with 95 wickets in 16 Tests. Though, Yasir could not break George Lohmann’s record, but he joined Charlie Turner, Sydney Barnes and Clarrie Grimmett in second place.

Yasir, however, still holds the ‘Asian’ record, and goes one-up in what has the potential to become an interesting modern duel between two spinners from the subcontinent.

Earlier, who took the 90 wickets in 15 matches, broke the 120-year-old record of Englishman George Lohmann, who had 89 wickets in the first 15 Tests of his career.
