DUBAI: Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat first in its historic first Day/Night Test at Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Pakistan skipper Misbah ul Haq won the toss and chose to bat first in the landmark 400th Test of the team.
Muhamad Nawaz and Babar Azam have been given debut caps as Younis Khan missed his first appearance after 41 consecutive Test since 2011.
 Skipper Misbah ul Haq stated at toss that he was happy to be the part of this landmark Test.
“I am going to bat first. The pitch looks good and dry. It will get slower and slower, roughs and turn later on. Good to be part of these sort of landmarks. Main thing is to perform well in this Test match. There could be unknowns, we have to forget it’s a pink ball. Just see the ball and play. Unfortunately, Younis is ill. Azam and Nawaz debut. I am doing a lot of practice and just keeping it simple.”
