England win third ODI by 4 wickets to take series

CHITTAGONG: After a nail-biting fight, England beat Bangladesh by 4 wickets in the third and final ODI at  Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.

So, to England go the spoils. The highest run-chase ever pulled off in Chittagong, and paced to near-perfection, thanks to half-centuries from Sam Billings and Ben Duckett, and a cool finisher’s role from Ben Stokes.

Handshakes all round – that’s good to see after the run-ins at Dhaka, and well earned on both sides. England know they’ve been in a battle in this past week.

England all rounder  Moeen Alee earlier predicted that Bangladesh would suffer from the pressure if it’s a tight match.  His wise words were vindicated. Though his own shot didn’t do a huge amount for his argument!

It is Bangladesh’s first ODI series loss in the last two and half years at the home ground.” Indeed, and but for their catatonic collapse in the first ODI, it could well have been them with the 2-1 scoreline.
