Trump insults women for entertainment

WASHINGTON: Donald Trump says many of his comments disparaging women were made “for the purpose of entertainment.’’

Trump was asked in a Wednesday interview with News 3 Las Vegas if he could understand why parents of young girls are concerned about his history of making unsophisticated comments toward women.

‘‘A lot of that was done for the purpose of entertainment. There’s nobody that has more respect for women than I do,’’ the real estate dynastanswered.Democrats have locked on Trump’s behavior toward women in recent weeks.

During the first presidential debate, Hillary Clinton attacked Trump for his comments about a previous Miss Universe, whom the businessman had attacked for gaining weight in 1996.

The issue stayed in the headlines for days as Trump reintroduced his criticisms of the woman’s weight gain from two decades ago.

Tim Kaine says he’s propelled about the possibility of being the first vice president to a female president. He said that he gets “furious” about some of the insults Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump hurls at Clinton.

Now, some of the things that Trump says about her … like, ‘Does she look presidential? I don’t think so, fellas.’ It makes me furious,” he said.

“He’ll probably be saying that at the end of her second term, when he’s hawking Trump bottled water.”

In an interview with Las Vegas TV station KSNV on Wednesday, the GOP nominee suggested that his gross comments about women were made while he was in character as Donald Trump, host of The Apprentice.

You have two beautiful daughters past their teenage years,” KSNV’s Jim Snyder said. “Can you understand the worry from parents of younger girls that some of your comments could be spiteful to girls struggling with body image and the pressure to be model-perfect?”

“Sure I do. And you know, a lot of this is done in the entertainment business. I’m being interrogated for Apprentice long before I ever thought in terms of running for office,” Trump replied. So now that he’s Donald Trump, presidential contestant, is he trying to tone down those remarks? “Well, it’s not a question of trying. It’s very easy,” he said. “But you know, you’re in the entertainment business. You’re doing The Apprentice. You have one of the top shows on television. And you say things inversely for a purpose.”The Apprentice launched in 2004, so if true, Trump was tricking to turn a series of business failures into a lucrative TV and steak business for more than a decade.

People see who he is, and they see themselves in him. He “gets away” with the worst impulses that the republicans have, but they know they would face punishment if they expressed them in public. Trump is the troll king, and the biggest trolls on the planet are “other”-hating republicans
