Third ODI: Pakistan set uphill task for Windies

ABU DHABI: Courtesy to hundreds from skipper Azhar Ali and young Babar Azam, Pakistan managed to post 308/6 in the first innings of third ODI against West Indies at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan skipper Azahar Ali won the toss and elected  to bat first on a flat batting wicket.

The decision proved right as both Azhar and Sharjil played a firebrand cricket to score quick runs in first powerplay.

Though Sharjil Khan left the crease with his individual 38, Azhar went on to make his third ODI ton as a captain.

Young Babar Azam was brilliant again, he scored his third consecutive hundred in the series.

Malik failed again, he returned with his 5. Rizwan and Imad also failed to get started.

The platform that was set by top order, was not used by middle order and Pakistan could only manage to put 308/6 on the board for West Indies.
