ABU DHABI: Consistent Pakistan floored West Indies in the third ODI winning it by 137 runs to complete a rare 3-0 whitewash at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Pakistani captain Azahar Ali won the toss and elected to bat first.
The decision proved right as both Azhar and Sharjil played a firebrand cricket to score quick runs in first powerplay.
Though Sharjil Khan left the crease with his individual 38, Azhar went on to make his third ODI ton as a captain.
Young Babar Azam was brilliant again, he scored his third consecutive hundred in the series.
Malik failed again, he returned with his 5. Rizwan and Imad also failed to get started.
The platform that was set by top order, was not used by middle order and Pakistan could only manage to put 308/6 on the board for West Indies.
The target proved too good for West Indies.
Though, they took a handsome start, but once Lewis was gone, wickets kept tumbling at a regular interval. West Indies were all out for 172.
Babar Azam was chosen Man of The Match and Match of the Series for his outstanding performances.
Ramdin (37) and Lewis (32) were only high scores from Windies.
With this series whitewash, Pakistan also displaced West Indies from 8th spot in the ICC ODI ranking.
