Pakistan restrict West Indies to 103 in 3rd T20

ABU DHABI: Thanks to brilliant performance from the bowlers, Pakistan restricted West Indies to a mere 103/5 in the first innings of 3rd T20 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan skipper won the toss and elected to bowl first on slow and turning wicket.

West Indies took comparatively good start and didn’t loose a wicket in first two overs. But, poor planning against Imad Wasim cost them, and wickets tumbled in a quick succession.

Imad removed Charles and Walton on back-to-back balls in the third over. Both batsmen repeated the same mistake. Charles was dismissed playing Imad’s quick indipping, good-length balls with cross bat.

Walton did not move his feet at all, the ball was a little lower too, took the bottom edge to disturb the timber.

Early wickets put the visiting side in huge pressure and they held their strokes to take on more pressure. Resultantly, Fletcher choked while taking a risky single to give Pakistan a prize wicket. West Indies were then 17/3 inside 6 overs.

Samuels and Bravo built the innings quite slowly, but Bravo made the similar mistake to and played cross-batted shot against Imad, missed and ball hit the timber again. Windies were 44/4.
