Pakistan win second T20 to seal series 2-0

DUBAI: With the help of excellent bowling from its pacers on a slow pitch, Pakistan successfully defend its total of 160 in the second T20 of the three-match series at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.

West Indies captain, Carls Brathwaite chose to bowl first on a slow and turning wicket to make the most out of it.

And so they did till the 14th over, when Pakistan were 100/4.

But, then Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik began to take on West Indies bowlers and put an invaluable 69-run partnership on just 44 balls for the fourth wicket.

Though, Shoaib Malik left his partner early in the 20th over, with his 37 off 28 balls, Sarfraz finished with unbeaten 46 from just 32 balls to post  160/4 on board.

It was chasable target as the dew factor makes very difficult to bowl in the second innings.

When West Indies came to bat, they showed their intent from the first over. Played Imad quite cleverly, but Pakistan had different plans.

The responsibility to dismantle Windies batters was taken, and well taken by Pakistan pacers, and Sohail Tanvir lead the party like a boss.

In his four over quota, Sohail took three key West Indian wicket at the cost of just 13 runs.

Imad also bowled intelligently for his 1-18 spell. Hasan Ali was expensive, but he took three wickets for 49 runs.

Dew factor made life difficult for Pakistan fast bowlers, specially for Hasan Ali and Wahab, but Pakistan managed to win the game by 16 runs.
