MULTAN: Pakistan middle order batsman Asad Shafiq hit a sparkling fifty while playing from Karachi Whites in ongoing National T20 Cup helping his team to defeat FATA Region and qualified for semi final of Cool & Cool Jazz National T-20 Cup on Saturday.
Electing to bat first, FATA Region set a below-par target of 124 runs for Whites with the help of Bilal Asif (44) and Aamer Yamin (34).
For Karachi Whites, Tabish Khan bagged three wickets to restrict FATA.
In reply, Karachi Whites chased down the target with 17 balls to spare courtesy Asad Shafiq who struck 62 runs on 43 balls with 10 fours.
Rameed Raja and Danish Aziz scored 17 runs each to guide their team to victory.
For FATA, Aamer Yamin, Asif Afridi, Muhammad Irfan and Sameen Gul from FATA took one wicket each.
Asad Shafiq was declared man of the match.
