Sabzwari ends self-imposed exile, reaches Pakistan

KARACHI: After years-long self-imposed exile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Faisal Sabzwari has finally returned to Pakistan on Saturday night, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Sabzwari on his arrival stated that he has returned to Karachi to support his party in difficult times.

Sabzwari had been missing from the political scene over the last few months amid rumors that he was likely to join Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), a new political party set up by former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal and other party’s dissenters.

He, however, rejected all such rumors earlier this week and told a news channel that he had no intention whatsoever to leave MQM.

Speaking to media persons at Karachi airport, where he was greeted by MQM leader Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, Sabzwari said his party has a bright future ahead.

To a question about the internal political crisis, he said MQM had faced hard times in the past as well.

“MQM alone has represented the middle class and I stand by MQM Pakistan,” Sabzwari added.

To a question about Pak Sarzameen Party, he said that politics was everyone’s right.
