MANCHESTER: Courtesy to Sharjeel and Khalid, Pakistan trounced England by a huge margin of 9 wickets in the only T20 of the series to take the trophy home at Old Trafford Cricket Stadium, Manchester.
Earlier, England captain Morgan won the toss and chose to bat first on batting friendly pitch. The decision to bat first was obliged by the opening batsmen as the pair added 53 runs in the first powerplay.
That was when the game began to change, as Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed introduced Imad Wasim back into the attack.
He soon removed Alex Hales (37) and then in next over, he took key wicket of Jason Roy (21) who has then began to play his shots.
Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz also bowled quite brilliantly to keep England at bay.
The way Pakistan came back and restricted high-flying England from 53/0 in 6 overs to 135/7 in 20 overs.
Rest of the job was done by Pakistan opening batsmen Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif.
The duo completed 100 for Pakistan in precisely 10 overs.
Sharjeel was unfortunate to get out for 59 runs. But Khalid Latif (59*) went out to finish the game along with Babar Azam (15*) to take the game in 14.5 overs and so the series 1-0.
Wahab Riaz was chosen Man of The Match for his brilliant spell of 3 for 18 in his four overs.
