1st T20: England fall of wickets against Pakistan

MANCHESTER: England defeated England by a big margin of 9 wickets in the first and only Twenty20 game of the tour at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester.

England after winning the toss, opted to bat first and started off really well. They were 53 for none in the powerplay, and it looked that they would post anything between 180-190.

But, all credit for Pakistan bowlers who took wickets at regular interval to keep England from scoring runs.

Though Amir (4-0-33) and Tanveer (4-0-35) were expensive from their lot, but rest of the bowlers made great recovery to restrict England to a lower total.

Wahab was introduced in middle overs, he bowled superb yorkers and that at handsome pace, ending with figures of 4-3-18. He was also chosen Man of The Match.

Hasan Ali (2 for 24) and Imad Wasim (2 for 17) put Pakistan right on top of the game.

England were restricted to 135/7 in their 20 overs.

Pakistan, courtesy to fireworks from their openers, chased down the total in just 14.5 over with 9 wickets in hand.

It was their largest victory outside Asia against a non-Asian team.
