MULTAN: Pakistan’s middle order batsman Umar Akmal has set National T20 Cup on fire with his blistering performance.
His swashbuckling batting on a green-top wicket in Multan has not only made it lucrative for TV broadcasters, but has also the increase the number of spectators coming to watch the game significantly.
Representing Lahore White, captained by elder brother Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal has so far played three outstanding innings, one of them yesterday. Umar smashed a unbeaten 1151 runs off just 45 balls.
He brought up his hundred in style on just 39 deliveries, taking 34 runs from one Yasir Arafat’s over to get to his century.
Yasir conceived five gigantic sixes and a four in that over from fatal Umar Akmal.

This was not it for the stylish batsman, as he smashed another 75-runs innings against Karachi Blues.
