Zil-Hajjah moon not sighted in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: The Zil-Hajjah crescent was not sighted in Saudi Arabion Thursday. Eid al Adha in Arab will fall on September 12 (Monday) this year, local media reported.

Based on the moon sighting, the month of Zil-Hajjah will begin Saturday, September 3.

Therefore, September 11 will be the (Day of Arafah), and September 12 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha, local news agency wam reported.

According to the Sharjah Planetarium, the new month will be sighted on September 1.
