Twin blasts in Mardan killed seven injured 40, Officials

MARDAN: Two blasts in Mardan district of Pakistan’s north western province, Khybar Pakhtunkhwa killed seven and injured around 40 on Friday morning, thenewstribe.io reported.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad, security forces cordoned off the area after suicide attack.

Rescue Officer Haris Habib told media that six dead bodies and 40 injured people have been shifted to different hospitals in the area.

Chief Minister KP advisor, Mushtaq Ghani confirmed that 7 including two police personnel, two lawyers and three local residents were killed in the incident.

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) source said body parts of suicide bomber have been recovered from the incident place.

Current law and order situation is more better than what we saw in past but provincial government is ready to play more active role to bring peace in the area, said Mushtaq Ghani.
