LONDON: Pakistan’s middle order batsman Sarfraz Ahmed played a key role to take the team’s score to 251 besides going 3 down for just 3 runs in 3 overs.
Sarfraz, the street fighter, took the reigns of Pakistan batting, when Pakistan were 3 down in third over for just 2 runs.
He, along with young talent Babar Azam made it look too easy to score runs against the same bowling attack who had earlier rattled the top order of Green Shirt.
Th duo took the liberty to play their shots, and kept scoring runs despite the due pressure.
Sarfraz was worth mentioning who looked busy in the middle and kept rotating the strike.
He went on to score a brilliant and much needed, well-deserved hundred. in 40th over.
Sarfraz ran that run hard, and celebrated his golden hundred with a high jump in the air.
He eventually got out on 105 on 130 balls, trying to slog sweep one from Adil Rasheed.
The good things about Sarfraz’s innings was that he did not try to hit the ball in the air because he knew the worth of his wicket and need of the hour. His innings of 105 runs had only six boundaries.
Here are highlights of Sarfraz’s excellent and memorable innings.
